A day begins at sunset the previous Gregorian day.

A month begins on the first crescent, not the dark of the moon.

The year begins on the first month after the winter solstice.

Some festivals are solar-aligned.

Some festivals are lunar-aligned.

Some festivals are based on seasonal events.
Divisions of the Day:

Eve is the time from sunset until midnight.

Night is the time from midnight until sunrise.
-
Morning is the time from sunrise until noon.

Afternoon is the time from noon until sunset.
